2002 Mercury Villager Photos

Villager was the model with which Mercury entered the minivan market in 1993. This minivan shared the same platform with the Nissan Quest. The Villager is unchanged for 2002, and this is the model's final year of production. Villager offers Value, Popular, Sport, Sport Plus, Estate, and Estate Premium models. The Villager is sophisticated looking and that too for a minivan. It has plenty of features and gadgets, low actual transaction prices, and optional Autovision entertainment system.

2002 Mercury Villager Overview

Mercury’s minivan Villager was launched in 2002 with not much significant changes as compared to the earlier year models. Amongst the minor changes, the most important one is a set of vinyl cargo mats and one new color choice. The six models for 2002 earned a mild restyling. All the models are produced at the plant in Ohio. Nissan has supplied the engine and other engineering equipments. The Villager had earned a top five-star rating in government crash testing for both the driver and front passenger. As the exterior look of the Villager is a head turner, the interior cabin was designed with keeping in mind the comfort segment.

“I traded in my 98 Windstar for a latest 02 Villager. I opted for the Estate Premium for its look and superb gas mileage. For a small van category- this is good. Hats off to Mercury”
